I have decided to clean up my blog and restart fresh with a new light on our blessings in life. As many of you already know, Jerry and I were able to purchase our "Dream Home" back in September of 2010! We are so blessed to have found a home that suits all of our needs. We decided to move back to the Carroll County area. Temple to be exact. That has by far been the best decision that we have ever made. The kids are much happier here. We love the fact that you can actually open the door and let your kids go outside to play and not worry as much as you would in a busier town. Matthew and Hayley have met lots of new friends so far. The only bad part is that we left all of our family and friends. But this change has been good for us. We have made some new friends and it is only a 45 minute drive to the Kennesaw area! :)
Hayley started her second season of T-Ball last night. But this time she is having to play baseball as they do not start softball until the age of 7 here. Matthew is still undecided as to what he wants to do for sports. He changes his mind every other day. But next season we are going to sign him up for baseball to see if he likes it. All is good with our new house. We are slowly but surely making it our own. It needed a lot of fixing up. We have already replaced all of the spindles on the back porch, fixed the kitchen plumbing, installed one of 2 garage door openers, added a storm door to the front door. Now all we have to do is paint and customize the rest. I have started thinking about painting the kitchen and hallway. But we are undecided on what colors we like.
School~ Matthew and Hayley are doing great in school. It took Matthew a minute to get adjusted but he is on the right track now. Hayley just jumped right in. She is at the top of her class! We are so proud of both of them!
Dolly~ she adjusted very well. She loves her new home. She no longer has to be kept in a crate when we leave for short periods of time. If we are going to be gone longer than a couple of hours we have to either take her with us or put her in her kennel.
Jerry and Crohn's~ he is doing much better with his Crohn's. Everyday is a battle. We just have to make sure that we are eating the things that we are supposed to and keep him hydrated enough. I think his doctors may have found the perfect combinations of medications for him.
Me~ I a doing well. I am no longer working for Apple. I am loving that I am not stressed out all of the time. Financially it has taken a toll on us. But as long as we stay on budget and not veer off all is good!
I am setting new goals for us this year. We are going to try to save as much $$ as possible. I have found a new love for couponing. I love going to the store to see what my grocery bill is then after they scan all of my coupons I love seeing all of the savings. So far this year I have saved our family over $600 by using coupons!
